Moreover, Myanmar had recently become a party to a number of important international instruments, including the Model Protocol Additional to the Agreement between States and the International Atomic Energy Agency for the Application of Safeguards, the United Nations Convention against Corruption and the Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards, and had initiated the process of ratification of the Biological Weapons Convention.
