본 발명은 보다 작은 자판의 수로 구성되어 한손만으로도 입력이 가능할 뿐만 아니라, 어느 하나의 글쇠를 반복하는 횟수를 줄여 보다 빨리 문자를 입력할 수 있게 한 키조합 방식의 자판 및 이를 이용한 문자 입력 방법에 관한 것이다. 특히, 본 발명은 N×M행렬로 배열된 문자키, 최소한 하나의 기능키로 구성하되, 문자키는 초성만을 입력할 수 있는 초성문자행, 중성만을 입력하는 중성문자행 및 종성만을 입력하는 종성문자행으로 이루어져 눌려지는 문자행의 키에 따라 초·중·종성이 구분될 수 있게 함으로써 음소를 2타 이내로 입력할 수 있게 한 키조합 방식의 자판 및 이를 이용한 문자 입력 방법에 관한 것이다.
