Commodity-dependent countries that face the threat of the so-called Dutch disease could levy tax on exports of the primary commodities that cause the tendency towards appreciation of the currency and the creation of an international fund (sovereign wealth fund) to neutralize the potential reappreciation of the currency due to the inflow of tax revenue.
