According to an embodiment, the card reader comprises: a card reader body part; a contact card recognition module included in the card reader body part; a circuit board having a contactless card recognition module included in the card reader body part; a card insertion hole which is formed in the card reader body part and allows a contact card and a contactless card to be inserted; and a rotation guide part rotatably provided within the card insertion hole, wherein the rotation guide part may recognize the contact card in the contact card recognition module by passing the contact card through the card insertion hole according to a rotation, and may recognize the contactless card in the contactless card recognition module by limiting a movement according to a contact after inserting the contactless card into the card insertion hole.

카드 리더기와 관련된 다양한 실시예들이 기술된 바, 한 실시예에 따르면, 카드 리더기에 있어서, 카드 리더기 본체부; 상기 카드 리더기 본체부에 구비되는 접촉식 카드 인식 모듈; 상기 카드 리더기 본체부에 구비되는 비접촉식 카드 인식 모듈을 구비한 회로기판; 상기 카드 리더기 본체부에 형성되어 접촉식 카드 및 비접촉식 카드를 삽입시키는 카드 삽입구; 및 상기 카드 삽입구내에 회전가능하게 구비되는 회전 가이드부를 포함하고, 상기 회전 가이드부는 회전에 따라서 접촉식 카드를 상기 카드 삽입구로 통과시켜 상기 접촉식 카드 인식 모듈에서 상기 접촉식 카드를 인식시키고, 상기 비접촉식 카드를 상기 카드 삽입구로 삽입 후 접촉에 따라서 이동을 제한하여 상기 비접촉식 카드 인식 모듈에서 상기 비접촉식 카드를 인식시킬 수 있으며, 이외에도 다양한 다른 실시예들이 가능하다.
