Glass fibers that constitute the core material (11) have at least one of the following constituent features: [i] containing not more than 5 mol% of CaO and being hydrophobic, [ii] the ten point average roughness (Rz) of the surface of the glass fibers is not lower than 30, or [iii] containing not less than 16 mol% of SrO and BaO, containing not less than 7 mol% of K2O and containing not less than 4 mol% of B2O3.
