The acute pain of separation described therein is pitched against the background of a highly moving description of nature’s (i.e. season’s) face aggravating the pain of separation during each month of the year. However, the present cluster of bārahamāsā songs makes a clear departure from the literary convention in that it is written demonstrably to commemorate the untimely demise of Jagatprakāśamalla’s life-long and dear friend Candraśesarasimha and to express deep sorrow and pain of separation as well as to extol his fine attributes and glorious deeds. Stating that the present hand-copied Newari Ms of the bārahamāsā songs composed by Jagatprakāśamalla in c. 1662 CE may claim to be the oldest extant text of the Maithili bārahamāsā songs to date, the paper presents a preliminary analysis of this autochthonous genre of Maithili folk-poetry.

पहिचानमा आधारित र वर्गमा आधारित दुवै किसिमका दाबीलाई ध्यान दिँदै सकारात्मक कदमहरूको खोजी गर्न यो कार्यपत्रमा नेपाल र भारतमा भएका समानताको अधिकारको संवैधानिक प्रावधान रेखाङ्कन र यसको न्यायिक व्याख्याको बारेमा विश्लेषण गरिएको छ । यहाँ प्रस्तुत गरिएको मुख्य तर्क के हो भने सामाजिक न्याय र समानताको संवद्र्धनका लागि प्रतिबद्ध संस्थागत ढाँचाले पुनर्वितरणसँग राजनीतिलाई पनि समाहित गर्न सक्नु पर्दछ । वर्ग र पहिचान एकअर्कासँग जोडिएका संस्थाहरू हुन् । तिनले सिर्जना गर्ने पराधीनता र प्रभुत्वशाली व्यवहार प्रायः एकअर्कासँग असर गर्ने गरी सम्बन्धित छन् । पहिचान र पुनर्वितरणको राजनीति मध्ये एउटले अर्कोलाई विस्थापन गर्ने कुरा होइन, विशेष गरी नेपालको सन्दर्भमा यदि असमानताका यी दुवै पक्षहरूलाई ध्यान दिन सकिएमा मात्रै सकारात्मक कदम प्रभावकारी हुन सक्दछन् ।
