Canada's Medium-Term Priorities Canada's medium-term priorities at the IMF and World Bank can be grouped under three broad themes: 1) Governance and Accountability—including internal governance reforms to improve the voice of middle-income and developing countries at both institutions, financial sustainability and more transparency. 2) Institutional Effectiveness—including improvements to the IMF's surveillance function, more effective aid and innovative development initiatives to promote private sector participation in development.
