The primary objective of this work is to describe two new subspecies of butterflies of the Catastica (Lepidoptera: Pieridae) genus: C. cteneme pitalito n. spp., and C. farallonensis cinerea n. ssp,, the first one inhabiting the Western slope of the Eastern Cordillera, while the second is present in the Western Cordillera of Colombia.

El objetivo primordial de este trabajo es describir dos nuevas subespecies de mariposas del género Catastica (Lepidoptera: Pieridae): C. cteneme pitalito n. spp., y C. cinerea farallonensis n. ssp. La primera de ellas habita la vertiente occidental de la Cordillera Oriental, en tanto la segunda, se encuentra presente en la Cordillera Occidental de Colombia.
