Beschrieben wird der Fall eines bisher gesunden 43-jährigen Mannes, der sich mit dem Bild einer akuten schweren Herzinsuffizienz mit beginnendem Multiorganversagen auf dem Boden einer orthodromen atrioventrikulären Reentrytachykardie (AVRT) vorstellt.

We present the case of an otherwise healthy male patient in cardiogenic shock related to an incessant orthodromic atrioventricular reentry tachycardia (AVRT). At the time of admission the patient had a resting heart rate of 160 bpm and presented with acute liver and renal failure.
