Die völlig verkehrte Auffassung der Vertreter einer Prädestination, wonach Gott einen Teil der Menschen zum ewigen Leben und den Rest zur ewigen Verdammnis verordnet hätte, ist schlicht und einfach auf oberflächliches Bibelstudium zurückzuführen oder - was noch schlimmer wäre - eine bewusste Uminterpretation, um eine Grundlage für jene „arrogante Exklusivität" und den „Ausschluss der Anderen" (Karl Barth) zu haben.

The completely wrong view of the advocates of predestination, according to which God has foreordained a part of humanity to eternal life and the rest to eternal damnation, is purely and simply attributable to superficial study of the Bible, or (which would be still worse) to a deliberately slanted interpretation, with the aim of having a basis for that "arrogant exclusiveness" and "exclusion of others" (Karl Barth).
