I think there are these macho men (especially in Upper Egypt, meaning southern Egypt, because the Nile is running down from south) but on the other hand a typical Egyptian man is said to be taking good care of his wife and family (it's a part of Islam anyway). But no matter which is the majority (my guess is the machos win!) I know that my husband is not typical at all.

Toisaalta täällä on näitä macho-tyyppisiä miehiä (etenkin Ylä-Egyptissä), mutta toisaalta myös periegyptiläinen mies pitää hyvää huolta vaimostaan (ja sehän kuuluisi jo islamiinkin). Mutta oli sitten kumpaa miestyyppiä enemmän (veikkaan kuitenkin machoja), niin kyllä sen verran tiedän ettei mieheni ole tyypillinen egyptiläinen mies.
