وأنشأ برنامج الأمم المتحدة للبيئة ومكتب تنسيق الشؤون الإنسانية، إلى جانب وزارة البيئة، والاتحاد الأوروبي والاتحاد العالمي لحفظ الطبيعة مركزاً لتنسيق عمليات مكافحة التلوث النفطي، في غضون أيام من وقف العمليات العدائية، لضمان التطهير الفعال للمناطق الملوثة من جراء النفط المنسكب.

UNEP and OCHA, together with the Ministry of the Environment, the European Union and the World Conservation Union, established the Oil Spill Operations Coordination Centre (OSOCC) within days following the cessation of hostilities, to ensure effective clean-up of the oil spill.

El PNUMA y la OCAH, junto con el Ministerio de Medio Ambiente, la Unión Europea y la Unión Mundial para la Naturaleza, establecieron el Centro de Coordinación de las Operaciones in situ (OSOCC) para hacer frente al derrame de petróleo pocos días después de la cesación de las hostilidades a fin de asegurar una limpieza eficaz del petróleo derramado.

Dans les jours qui ont suivi la cessation des hostilités, le PNUE et le BCAH ont mis en place, conjointement avec le Ministère de l’environnement, l’Union européenne et l’Union mondiale pour la nature, un centre de coordination des opérations (OSOCC) afin de procéder à un nettoyage efficace des zones touchées.
