Industrial Sector contracted by 4.2 percent, compared to the 21.6 percent contraction in the previous quarter. This was largely due to the production recovery of industrial plants that got affected by the flood in the central region, leading to restart of the related-industry plants. Moreover, some industries have to accelerate their productions in order to meet the back order during the flooding period.

สาขาอุตสาหกรรมหดตัวร้อยละ 4.2 จากที่หดตัวร้อยละ 21.6 ในไตรมาสที่ผ่านมา เนื่องจากโรงงานอุตสาหกรรมส่วนใหญ่ทั้งที่อยู่ในพื้นที่และนอกพื้นที่นิคมอุตสาหกรรมในภาคกลาง สามารถเริ่มเดินเครื่องจักรผลิตสินค้าได้อีกครั้งหนึ่ง ส่งผลให้โรงงานที่เป็นอุตสาหกรรมต่อเนื่อง ที่ไม่ได้รับผลกระทบจากอุทกภัยสามารถเริ่มเดินเครื่องจักรสําหรับการผลิตได้อีกครั้งหนึ่งด้วย โดยบางอุตสาหกรรมต้องเร่งกําลังการผลิต เพื่อชดเชยส่วนที่ควรผลิตได้ในช่วงที่เกิดอุทกภัย
