It defines the battlespace terrain modeling algorithms used, atmospheric/bathyspheric models employed, electromagnetic and acoustic spectrums recognized, fidelity characteristics, time reference, supported classes of interactions, etc. It does not include the data bases which populate those models and algorithms.
