The present invention relates to a point of interest providing system and a method therefor, and the system provides content created by a user, simultaneously calculates popularity rating information of a point of interest on the basis of information on a location at which the content has been created and provides the calculated popularity rating information of the point of interest to the user, wherein users can check popularity rating information of a point of interest at which content has been created while searching and inquiring into the content and can receive, in real-time, information on an event occurring at the point of interest.
