For at faa tilladelse til at foere baad med radar skal en baadfoerer foruden at vaere i besiddelse af certifikatet ligeledes vaere i besiddelse af certifikatet til radarsejlads paa Rhinen, der ligesom baadfoerercertifikatet for sejlads paa Rhinen (artikel 1, stk. 5) er gyldigt for alle vandveje i EF, eller have bestaaet en eksamen i de faglige kundskaber, der er omhandlet i bilag II, kapitel C, for radarnavigation paa det oevrige vandvejsnet i Europa.

In order to be authorized to navigate with the aid of radar, the boatmaster, in addition to holding the certificate, must either hold the Rhine radar navigation certificate which, as with the Rhine navigation licence referred to in Article 1(5), shall be valid for all waterways in the Community, or have passed the examination covering professional knowledge of the subjects referred to in Chapter 'C' of Annex II, in order to navigate by radar on the rest of the European waterway network.

Para poder gobernar una embarcación por radar, será necesario poseer el título y, además, poseer el título de navegación por radar en el Rin que, como el título de patrón para la navegación en el Rin (artículo 1, apartado 5) es válido para todas las vías navegables de la Comunidad, o bien haber superado un examen de conocimientos profesionales de las materias mencionadas en el capítulo C del Anexo II para la navegación por radar en el resto de la red europea de vías navegables.

Om een vaartuig met behulp van radar te mogen besturen, dient de schipper niet alleen in het bezit van het vaarbewijs te zijn, maar dient hij ook over het Rijnradarpatent te beschikken, dat zoals het Rijnschipperspatent (artikel 1, lid 5) op alle waterwegen van de Gemeenschap geldig is, of met gunstig gevolg een examen over de in hoofdstuk «C» van bijlage II genoemde stof voor het besturen van radarschepen op de overige Europese waterwegen te hebben afgelegd.
