District Public Health Office has launched special programme after diarrhoea and cholera spread in Lalitpur Sub-metropolis, Imadol, Lubhu, Satdobato and adjoining areas. Lamichhane informed that the office has started to distribute medicine in health centres at concerned areas, operate public awareness programme and test quality of water in the cholera-hit area. Similarly, the office is cooperating with Lalitpur Sub-metropolis, local social organizations and District Education Office to organize a public awareness programme to control the ailment. The office has started to purify and test the quality of stonespout and dug well water.
