ومن بين هذه الطرائق ما يلي: (أ) مراعاة وقف إطلاق النار ووقف الأعمال العدائية بين الحكومة الاتحادية الانتقالية والتحالف من أجل إعادة تحرير الصومال؛ (ب) فض اشتباك مقاتلي الحكومة الاتحادية الانتقالية والتحالف من أجل إعادة تحرير الصومال؛ (ج) تيسير نشر قوة لحفظ السلام تابعة للأمم المتحدة؛ وإقامة اتصال بين الطرفين، فضلاً عن منع حدوث مواجهة مسلحة بينهما، وضمان السلوك والتصرف الملائمين للقوات المسلحة الصومالية فيما يتعلق بمراعاة الحقوق والمعايير الإنسانية، وهدم كل نقاط العبور غير القانونية التي تعيق سلاسة نقل المعونة الإنسانية.

These include: (a) observing a ceasefire and cessation of hostilities between the Transitional Federal Government and the Alliance for the Re-liberation of Somalia; (b) disengaging combatants of the Transitional Federal Government and the Alliance for the Re-liberation of Somalia; (c) facilitating the deployment of a United Nations peacekeeping force, establishing liaison between the two parties, as well as preventing armed confrontation between them, ensuring proper behaviour and conduct of the Somali armed forces with regard to the observation of human rights and standards, and demolishing all illegal checkpoints that hinder the smooth transportation of humanitarian aid.

Estas incluyen: a) observar la cesación del fuego y de las hostilidades entre el Gobierno Federal de Transición y la Alianza para la Nueva Liberación de Somalia; b) separar a los combatientes del Gobierno Federal de Transición y la Alianza para la Nueva Liberación de Somalia; c) facilitar el despliegue de una fuerza de las Naciones Unidas para el mantenimiento de la paz, establecer enlaces entre las dos partes y evitar que se produzcan enfrentamientos armados entre ellas, garantizar un comportamiento y conducta adecuados de las fuerzas armadas somalíes en cuanto al respeto de los derechos y normas de derechos humanos, y demoler todos los puestos de control ilegales que obstaculizan el transporte de asistencia humanitaria.
