In addition to the information that is being requested under the current Regulations, the new regulations will require that the following information be submitted: a. documentation indicating compliance with the requirements set out in the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act; b. information on the capital costs and technical capabilities of the cable and its associated works or facilities; and c. information on the landing points and routing of the cable in Canada and outside Canada, where the cable will connect with telecommunications networks in Canada.
