مع أن التقرير الفصلي المقبل للجنة الحدود بين إريتريا وإثيوبيا لن يحل موعد صدوره حتى نهاية شهر أيار/مايو، إلى أنه نظرا للقلق الحالي الذي يساور مجلس الأمن بشأن مشكلة ترسيم الحدود بين إريتريا وإثيوبيا، أود الإفادة دون إبطاء بشأن الاجتماع الذي عقدته لجنة الحدود بين إريتريا وإثيوبيا بين الطرفين في لندن في 17 أيار/مايو 2006.

Although the next quarterly report of the Eritrea-Ethiopia Boundary Commission is not due until the end of May, in view of the present concern of the Security Council with the problem of the demarcation of the boundary between Eritrea and Ethiopia, I wish to report without delay on the meeting that the Boundary Commission held with the parties in London on 17 May 2006.

Si bien el próximo informe trimestral de la Comisión de Límites entre Eritrea y Etiopía no se ha de presentar hasta finales de mayo, en vista de la preocupación actual del Consejo de Seguridad por el problema de la demarcación de la frontera entre Eritrea y Etiopía, quisiera informarle sin demora sobre la reunión de la Comisión de Límites que tuvo lugar con las partes en Londres el 17 de mayo de 2006.

Bien que le prochain rapport trimestriel de la Commission du tracé de la frontière entre l’Érythrée et l’Éthiopie soit attendu seulement à la fin mai, je souhaiterais, compte tenu de la préoccupation actuelle du Conseil de sécurité à l’égard du problème de la démarcation de la frontière entre l’Érythrée et l’Éthiopie, vous communiquer sans retard un compte rendu de la réunion que la Commission a tenue avec les parties à Londres le 17 mai 2006.

Несмотря на то, что следующий квартальный доклад Комиссии по установлению границы между Эритреей и Эфиопией должен быть представлен лишь в конце мая, с учетом нынешней озабоченности Совета Безопасности по поводу проблемы демаркации границы между Эритреей и Эфиопией мне хотелось бы без какой-либо задержки представить отчет Комиссии по установлению границы по итогам ее заседания, которое было проведено с участием сторон в Лондоне 17 мая 2006 года.
