Po absolutoriu pokračoval v doktorandském studiu sociální geografie a regionálního rozvoje na Přírodovědecké fakultě Univerzity Karlovy v Praze, které zakončil v roce 2008 dizertační prací Akcesibilita a dopady její změny v Česku v transformačním období: vztah k systému osídlení a získal titul doktor přírodních věd i Ph.D. V minulosti se věnoval rychlostní kanoistice, hudbě a sportovnímu tanci.

After graduation, he continued his doctoral studies in Social Geography and Regional Development at the Faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague, which he completed in 2008 with a dissertation titled Accessibility and the Impacts of its Change in the Czech Republic in the Transformation Period: Relation to the Settlement System and he was awarded the title of Doctor of Natural Sciences (RNDr.) and Ph.D. In the past he devoted himself to speed canoeing, music and sport dance.
