فالأشكال الجديدة من الإرهاب التي قد تكون أشد فتكا وانتشار الأسلحة غير التقليدية وتمدد شبكات الجريمة عبر الحدود الوطنية والسبل التي قد تلتقي جميع هذه المسائل في سياقها لتآزر بعضها البعض تُعدّ في بعض أرجاء العالم المخاطر الغالبة التي تهدد السلم والأمن في أيامنا هذه.

Neue und potenziell gefährlichere Formen des Terrorismus, die Verbreitung nichtkonventioneller Waffen, die Ausbreitung grenzüberschreitender krimineller Netzwerke und die Art und Weise, in der alle diese Faktoren zusammenkommen und sich gegenseitig verstärken können, werden in manchen Teilen der Welt als die vorherrschende Bedrohung des Friedens und der Sicherheit in unserer Zeit betrachtet.

New and potentially more virulent forms of terrorism, the proliferation of non-conventional weapons, the spread of transnational criminal networks and the ways in which all these things may be coming together to reinforce one another are viewed in some parts of the world as the dominant threats to peace and security in our time.
