During the period from 1914 to 1915 he was a deputy at the Teacher Studies in Uppsala, partly as professor of mathematics at Uppsala University (7 May - 27 May 1920) and then, from 9 July 1920, he was appointed as professor of descriptive geometry at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm, a post which he held until 1927.
