An dem marinen Hydroidpolypen Clava multicornis aus der Umgebung Helgolands wurden Nahrungsaufnahme, Wachstum, Sauerstoffverbrauch, Materialverluste und Nahrungsausnutzung bei verschiedenen Wassertemperaturen und Tagesrationen untersucht. Als Nahrung dienten Larven des SalinenkrebsesArtemia salina.

Clava multicornisForskål (Cnidaria, Hydrozoa) from the North Sea was cultured under a variety of environmental conditions, and quantitative aspects of the following processes examined: food intake, growth, oxygen consumption, losses of material, and food conversion.
