Ihnen, lieber Mitbruder, übertrage ich die Aufgabe, die Gläubigen der altehrwürdigen, geliebten Stadt Aosta daran zu gemahnen, mit Bewunderung und Sympathie ihres großen Mitbürgers zu gedenken, dessen Licht auch weiter in der ganzen Kirche erstrahlt, besonders dort, wo man die Liebe zu den Glaubenswahrheiten pflegt und sich den Wunsch bewahrt hat, diese durch die Vernunft zu vertiefen.

I entrust to you, venerable Brother, the task of bringing to the faithful of the old and beloved city of Aosta, the exhortation to look with admiration and affection at this great fellow citizen of theirs whose light continues to shine throughout the Church, especially wherever love for the truths of faith and an interest in exploring them deeply through reason are cultivated.
