Who may administer oaths and affirmations 13 Where by an Act or regulation evidence is authorized or required to be taken under oath or on affirmation by a person, or an oath or affirmation is authorized or directed to be made or taken, the oath or affirmation may be administered, and the certificate of its having been made or taken may be given, by the person mentioned in the Act or regulation, or by a person authorized to swear affidavits under this Act, having authority and jurisdiction within the district where the oath or affirmation is administered.

Prestation du serment 13 Lorsqu'une loi ou un règlement permet ou exige qu'un témoignage soit recueilli sous serment ou après une affirmation solennelle ou lorsqu'une loi ou un règlement permet ou prescrit de faire prêter un serment ou de faire faire une affirmation solennelle, la personne mentionnée dans la loi ou le règlement ou une personne autorisée par la présente loi à recevoir les affidavits et qui est compétente pour le faire dans le district où le serment est prêté ou l'affirmation solennelle faite peut faire prêter le serment ou faire faire l'affirmation solennelle.
