In May 2013, the Commission for Public Complaints Against the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (CPC) released the terms of reference for a public interest investigation that will report on systemic policing issues noted in the Human Rights Watch report: specifically, member conduct related to public intoxication; cross-gender police searches; the handling of missing persons and domestic violence reports; use of force; and the handling of youth files.
