وقد عقد المؤتمر الدولي المعني بقضية فلسطين في جنيف في الفترة من 29 آب/أغسطس إلى 7 أيلول/سبتمبر 1983. ودعا، في جملة أمور، إلى عقد مؤتمر سلام دولي معني بالشرق الأوسط تحت رعاية الأمم المتحدة، يشترك فيه، على قدم المساواة، جميع أطراف النزاع، بما فيها منظمة التحرير الفلسطينية فضلا عن الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية واتحاد الجمهوريات الاشتراكية السوفياتية وغيرهما من الدول المعنية.

The International Conference on the Question of Palestine, held at Geneva from 29 August to 7 September 1983, called, inter alia, for the convening of an international peace conference on the Middle East under the auspices of the United Nations, with the participation of all parties to the conflict, including the PLO, as well as the United States of America, the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics and other concerned States, on an equal footing.

La Conferencia Internacional sobre la Cuestión de Palestina, celebrada en Ginebra del 29 de agosto al 7 de septiembre de 1983, pidió, entre otras cosas, que se convocase una conferencia internacional de paz sobre el Oriente Medio bajo los auspicios de las Naciones Unidas y en que participaran, en igualdad de condiciones, todas las partes en el conflicto, incluida la OLP, así como los Estados Unidos de América, la Unión de Repúblicas Socialistas Soviéticas y otros Estados interesados.

La Conférence internationale sur la question de Palestine tenue à Genève du 29 août au 7 septembre 1983 a affirmé notamment qu’il était indispensable de convoquer, sous les auspices de l’Organisation des Nations Unies, une conférence internationale de la paix sur le Moyen-Orient, avec la participation, sur un pied d’égalité, de toutes les parties au conflit, y compris l’OLP, ainsi que des États-Unis d’Amérique, de l’Union des Républiques socialistes soviétiques et des autres États intéressés.

Международная конференция по вопросу о Палестине, состоявшаяся в Женеве 29 августа — 7 сентября 1983 года, призвала, в частности, созвать международную мирную конференцию по Ближнему Востоку под эгидой Организации Объединенных Наций с участием на равной основе всех сторон конфликта, включая ООП, а также Соединенных Штатов Америки, Союза Советских Социалистических Республик и других заинтересованных государств.
