Following approval by the socios, starting in the 2014-2015 season, the club reverts to it's original name - Club Deportivo Torrevieja. The club was founded in 1993 with this name and started out in the lowest division of the Valencian Football - Second regional .

Tras la aprobación por parte de los socios en la Temporada 2013-2014, el club recupera su anterior denominación social, la de Club Deportivo Torrevieja con la que fue fundado en 1993, y comenzó su andadura deportiva en la última categoría del fútbol valenciano, Segunda Regional.
