A person entitled to any rent or land for the life of another may recover by action or distress the rent due and owing at the time of the death of the person for whose life such rent or land depended as the person might have done if the person by whose death the estate in such rent or land determined had continued in life. La personne ayant droit à un loyer ou à un bien-fonds durant la vie d’une autre personne peut, par voie d’action ou de saisie-gagerie, recouvrer le loyer échu et exigible au moment du décès de la personne dont la vie conditionnait le loyer ou le bien-fonds comme elle aurait pu le faire si la personne dont le décès a provoqué la résolution du domaine sur le loyer ou le bien-fonds était demeuré en vie.
