तर, काउन्सिल आफैंले त्यसो गर्न चाहेन । काउन्सिलमा दर्ता भएका नक्कली डाक्टरहरूलाई प्रहरीको केन्द्रीय अनुसन्धान ब्यूरोमार्फत ठगी मुद्दा चलाइयो । ठगी मुद्दा अदालतबाट प्रमाणित भएमा चाहिं उनीहरूको दर्ता खारेज गर्न सकिन्थ्यो । नेपाल मेडिकल काउन्सिल ऐनको दफा १७ को उपदफा १ (क) मा उल्लेख छ- ‘नैतिक पतन देखिने फौजदारी अभियोगमा अदालतबाट सजाय पाएका डाक्टरको नाम रजिष्ट्रेसनबाट हटाउन काउन्सिलले रजिष्ट्रारलाई आदेश दिन सक्नेछ ।’
