It is extremely pleasant to come to warm Strasbourg from cold Finland, where the ice on the lakes is still half a metre thick, making it quite possible to drive over the ice to one's island holiday home to go fishing. There is quite a lot of snow too.

È quanto mai piacevole giungere al tepore di Strasburgo dalla fredda Finlandia, dove lo spessore del ghiaccio nei laghi è ancora di almeno mezzo metro, tanto che si possono raggiungere gli chalet sulle isole o andare a pescare con l'auto, e dove c'è ancora molta neve.

In Finland ligt momenteel nog een hoop sneeuw en is het zo koud dat de meren zijn dichtgevroren, wat wel het voordeel inhoudt dat we met de auto over de dikke ijskap naar onze buitenverblijven op de eilandjes kunnen reizen om er te vissen en uit te rusten.
