আমি মনে করতাম করি এই শ্রদ্ধেয় পর্তুগীজ লেখক প্রযুক্তি বিমুখ একজন লেখক যে তার ভিন্ন রীতি অনেক পরিশ্রমে টিকিয়ে রাখে। সে তা টিকিয়ে রেখেছে একদল জাপানীর মতো যারা এক নির্জন দ্বীপে হারিয়ে যায়। তারা যুদ্ধে শেষ হবার অনেক পরেও তাদের দুর্গ রক্ষার জন্য তাদের জীবন বাজী রেখেছিল।
