The parties and, by accepting appointment, the mediator agree that any statements or comments, whether written or oral, made or used by them or their representatives in preparation for or in the course of the mediation shall not be relied upon to found or maintain any action for defamation, libel, slander or any related complaint, and this Article may be pleaded as a bar to any such action.

Artículo 27 Las partes y el mediador, al aceptar su nombramiento, convienen en que ninguna declaración o comentario, ya sea oral o escrito, formulado o utilizado por ellos o por sus representantes durante los preparativos de la mediación o durante la misma, será utilizado para fundar o mantener acciones por difamación oral o escrita u otro tipo de demanda similar, y el presente Artículo podrá ser invocado en los tribunales para impugnar tales acciones.
