The 2005 report of the Ombudsman, who is a parliamentary high commissioner charged with serving the public and defending the people’s rights and freedoms in their dealings with the administration, notes only two cases of ill-treatment and two of improper behaviour on the part of the State security forces. The 2006 report notes only one allegation of ill-treatment at the hands of the State security forces and none of improper behaviour by them towards members of the public.

Aunque el informe del Defensor del Pueblo (como Alto Comisionado de las Cortes Generales, al servicio de los ciudadanos, para defender sus derechos y libertades frente a la actuación de la administración) correspondiente a 2005 únicamente recoge dos supuestos de malos tratos y otros dos de actuación incorrecta por parte de las fuerzas y cuerpos de seguridad del Estado, el informe de dicha institución constitucional correspondiente a 2006 recoge una única queja de supuestos malos tratos por parte de las fuerzas y cuerpos de seguridad del Estado y ninguna relativa a actuación incorrecta de las mismas frente a los ciudadanos.

Dans son rapport pour 2005, le Défenseur du peuple relève deux cas seulement de mauvais traitements et deux cas de comportement inapproprié imputés aux forces de sécurité de l’État; dans son rapport pour 2006 il note une seule plainte pour mauvais traitements imputés aux forces de sécurité de l’État et n’en signale aucune pour comportement inapproprié à l’égard de la population.

В докладе Народного защитника (действующего в качестве Высокого уполномоченного Генеральных кортесов и занимающегося защитой прав и свобод граждан от произвола административных органов) за 2005 год упоминается два предполагаемых случая жестокого обращения и еще два случая некорректных действий со стороны сил и органов государственной безопасности, в то время как в его докладе за 2006 год содержится лишь одна жалоба на предполагаемый случай жестокого обращения со стороны сил и органов государственной безопасности и отсутствуют какие-либо жалобы на некорректные действия со стороны сотрудников этих ведомств.
