本発明に係る水処理フィルター用濾材は、親水性コーティング層を有する多孔質基材からなり;親水性コーティング層は、架橋親水性高分子と高電子密度部位を有し;架橋親水性高分子中、親水性高分子は、エーテル基、ヒドロキシ基およびアミノ基からなる群より選択される1以上の官能基を含んでもよい飽和脂肪族炭化水素基で架橋されており;高電子密度部位がπ電子を有するものであり且つ架橋親水性高分子に共有結合していることを特徴とする。
