On the 29th March 1986 came the first international motorcycle event, inaugurating the the facilities of the circuit (pits, working, tower, hospital ...).And finally, the 13th of April, starting flag to the Gran Premio Tío Pepe de España, counting for the 1986 Formula One World Championship, event that Spain had lost back in 1981 and which Jerez regained with all honors.

El 29 de Marzo de 1986 tiene lugar la primera prueba Internacional de motociclismo, estrenándose entonces las instalaciones del Circuito (boxes, edificio de trabajo, hospital, etc). Y por fin, el 13 de Abril de ese mismo año, la prueba de fuego: banderazo de salida del Gran Premio Tio Pepe de España, puntuable para el Campeonato del Mundo de Fórmula Uno, prueba que había perdido España en 1981 y que Jerez recuperó con todos los honores.
