For slopes lower than 4 nA/sec, the forward and backward traces coincide with the steady I–V characteristic and display an anomalous rectification, i.e.: a conductance lower in depolarization than in hyperpolarization.

Pour de faibles pentes (<4 nA/sec) les tracés aller et retour sont confondus avec celui de la caractéristique I–V des états stationnaires. Cette caractéristique présente autour du potentiel de repos (PR) un ≪effect redresseur anormal≫, c'est-à-dire une plus petite conductance en dépolarisation qu'en hyperpolarisation.
