To help consumers understand the ins and outs of credit reports, FCAC has developed a useful booklet called Understanding Your Credit Report and Credit Score, which provides information on how you can obtain your credit reports for free by mail from the credit bureaus; how to understand the information in a credit report; and how to get any errors that may show up on your report corrected.

Pour vous aider à comprendre les tenants et aboutissants des dossiers de crédit, l'ACFC publie un livret fort pratique, intitulé Comprendre votre dossier de crédit et votre pointage de crédit. Ce dernier explique notamment comment se procurer une copie de son dossier de crédit auprès des agences d'évaluation de crédit et ce, gratuitement.
