When it was first built, Dubai Aquarium was listed in the Guinness Book of Records as boasting the largest acrylic viewing panel in the world, at 33 meters long and 8.5 meters high. It is also the first aquarium to be built in the desert, and is home to more than 70 types of sea creature, including sharks and rays.
