Using the case definition developed by the IVIG Hemolysis Pharmacovigilance Group, Health Canada analyzed all reports of hemolysis (reported as hemolytic anemia, hemolysis, spherocytic anemia, hemolytic reaction, decreased hemoglobin and hemolytic transfusion reaction) suspected of being associated with the use of IVIG that were received from Dec. 1, 2006, to Mar. 31, 2009.
