In the area of integral development, the increase in our cooperation activities, especially in the poorest and smallest countries, has combined with a surge in the technical tasks we perform in support of ministerial meetings on education, labor, culture, science and technology, social development, tourism, and sustainable development, to which we must add the meeting of ministers convened by the Inter-American Commission of Women, all of which derive the bulk of their mandates from the Summits process – a process for which the Organization is becoming increasingly responsible.

En el área del desarrollo integral, el incremento de nuestras acciones de cooperación especialmente en los países más pobres y más pequeños se une a nuestras crecientes tareas técnicas de apoyo a las reuniones ministeriales de Educación, Trabajo, Cultura, Ciencia y Tecnología, Desarrollo Social, Turismo y Desarrollo Sostenible, a lo que hay que agregar la reunión de ministras convocada por la Comisión Interamericana de Mujeres, que derivan parte fundamental de sus mandatos del proceso de Cumbres, proceso del cual la organización es cada vez más responsable.
