To a tree whose branches are few but whose roots are many; so that even if all the winds in the world come and blow against it, it cannot be stirred from its place, as it is written (Jeremiah 17:8) "They shall be like a tree planted by water, sending out its roots by the stream. It shall not fear when heat comes, and its leaves shall stay green; in the year of drought it is not anxious, and it does not cease to bear fruit."

A un árbol cuyas ramas son pocas pero cuyas raíces son muchas; siendo así aunque todos los vientos del mundo vengan y soplen sobre él, no lo mueven de su lugar, como está escrito (Jeremías 17:8): “Y será como árbol plantado junto a las aguas, que extiende sus raíces hasta el arroyo y no se resentirá cuando venga el calor y su follaje quedará fresco; y en el año de la sequía, no se preocupará y no dejará de producir fruto”.
