Moreover, appreciation of the Thai baht stimulated overseas traveling of Thai tourists. Financial sector grew by 8.9 percent, thanks to credit expansion, especially for business sector. This reflected higher demand for working capital as raw materials and transportation cost increased, growing consumer loans mainly in housing and car leasing, which led to increase in net interest income, and returns on investment in debt securities market.

ค่าใช้จ่ายเดินทาง และราคาน้ํามัน ส่งผลกระทบต่อรายจ่ายนักท่องเที่ยวทั้งคนไทยและคนต่างชาติ ประกอบกับค่าเงินบาทโดยเฉลี่ยที่แข็งขึ้นเมื่อเทียบกับปีที่ผ่านมา ทําให้คนไทยเดินทางไปเที่ยวต่างประเทศเพิ่มขึ้น สาขาการเงิน ขยายตัวร้อยละ 8.9 เนื่องจากสินเชื่อขยายตัวเพิ่มขึ้น โดยเฉพาะสินเชื่อที่ให้แก่ภาคธุรกิจ ซึ่ง สะท้อนถึงความต้องการเงินทุนหมุนเวียนตามต้นทุนวัตถุดิบและค่าขนส่งที่สูงขึ้น
