First of all, I wish to extend my most sincere thanks and appreciation to the Congress Honorary Committee, presided by Her Majesty the Queen of Spain Doña Sofía, and integrated by the President of the Spanish Government, José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero. Likewise, the President of the Courts of Justice, María Emilia Casas Baamonde; the Vicepresident of Spain, María Teresa Fernández de la Vega Sanz; several Ministers of the Spanish Government; the President of the Autonomous Community of Madrid, Esperanza Aguirre Gil de Biedma; the Major of Madrid, Alberto Ruiz-Gallardón Jiménez, and many other personalities of the academic, institutional, social and cultural worlds are members of the Honorary and Advisory Committees.
