The concern is that this approach would (a) limit the amount of credit available from the initial secured creditor; (b) result in secured creditors inflating the amount of the secured obligation to cover future credit, which would inadvertently limit the ability of grantors to obtain credit from other sources; and (c) generally interfere with the ability of parties to secure future or fluctuating obligations (as in the case of revolving credit facilities).
