Τα μελωδικά μοτίβα τους που δημιουργήθηκαν από τέσσερις γενιές καθηγητών στην "Νέα Μουσική Σχολή του Πατριαρχείου" (Κωνσταντινούπολη), η οποία επαναπροσδιόρισε την οθωμανική παράδοση της βυζαντινής ψαλμωδίας μεταξύ 1750 και 1830 και την μετέγραψε στη σημειογραφία της Νέας Μεθόδου από το 1814.

Their melodic patterns were created by four generations of teachers at the "New Music School of the Patriarchate" (Constantinople/Istanbul), which redefined the Ottoman tradition of Byzantine chant between 1750 and 1830 and transcribed it into the notation of the New Method since 1814.
