In his speech, the Minister of Labor and Social Welfare of El Salvador and President of the meeting, Humberto Centeno, said that the issues discussed during the conference "are consistent with the need to articulate socio-economic strategies for our peoples, understanding that sustainable development, decent work and social inclusion are the cornerstones of public policies to maintain and increase the quality of employment and strengthening the proactive and protective role of the state and in the promotion and protection of labor rights."

En su discurso, el Ministro de Trabajo y Previsión Social de El Salvador y Presidente de la reunión, Humberto Centeno, afirmó que los temas abordados durante la Conferencia “son congruentes con la necesidad de articular estrategias socio económicas para nuestros pueblos, entendiendo que el desarrollo sustentable, el trabajo decente y la inclusión social son ejes articuladores de las políticas públicas para mantener e incrementar la calidad del empleo y el fortalecimiento del rol tutelar y proactivo del Estado en la promoción y protección de los derechos laborales”.
