— No vessel will be admitted to the dock without having the time and manner of her entry and of her stay in the dock fixed and determined at the Dock Master’s office, and duly noted and entered in books to be kept for that purpose, nor until after the owner of the vessel or his representative shall have signed such note and entry, and the owner of the vessel or his representative shall furnish a bond signed by the applicant for the dock and two good and solvent securities (or such other security as will be satisfactory to the Dock Master), making themselves responsible for the fulfilment of the provisions of sections 4 and 7 of these regulations, under pain of forfeiture of the sum of five thousand dollars.

Aucun bâtiment n’est admis dans la cale avant que le bureau de l’officier de port ait fixé le moment et les formalités de son entrée et de son séjour dans la cale et que son inscription soit dûment notée sur les registres qui sont conservés à cette fin, et avant que le propriétaire du bâtiment ou son représentant n’ait signé le document d’inscription. Le propriétaire ou son représentant doit par ailleurs fournir un cautionnement signé par le demandeur et deux cautions solvables (ou toute autre garantie convenant à l’officier de port) les rendant responsables de l’application des articles 4 et 7 du présent règlement, sous peine de confiscation d’une somme de cinq mille dollars.
