This mandatory sentencing law only applies to a person convicted of burglary in respect of a place ordinarily used for human habitation and if the person is a repeat offender at the time of committing that offence (that is, the person has on two previous occasions already been convicted of this offence of home burglary).

Esa ley sobre condena obligatoria sólo se aplica al que ha sido declarado culpable de robo en un lugar utilizado ordinariamente para la vivienda humana y cuando el reo es un delincuente reincidente en el momento de cometer ese delito (es decir, que ha sido declarado en dos ocasiones anteriores culpable de este delito de robo en hogares).
